Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is an accomplished photographer as well as a journalist. Curry did not have the opportunity to be a student at a particular school in Alameda, San Diego Oregon, or Virginia for two years, due to her family relocated frequently. Ashland was where she eventually finished her high school. In the role of an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon, she started her career as a broadcaster. She became the first woman anchor at the station, when she was 22. Then she was promoted to reporting and anchoring at KGW, an NBC-affiliated station located in Portland. Then she returned into Los Angeles four years later working as a journalist at KCBS TV. She was awarded two Emmy Awards during the six years she spent with this station.
